CATLIN STATIONERY
This client had seen my artist book "Lapis Lazuli" and liked the waves I had painted as a constant element throughout the book. The fluidity of the lapis blue water was what she was looking for in her personal stationery design. The wave design changes from her correspondence cards to her business cards, mimicking the changing nature of water itself.
GUND STATIONERY
This client needed stationery for two residences, and upon consultation, I designed two different identities for her separate residences: constellations for the open desert, a cloud motif for her mountain residence. I chose handmade paper from Nepal that feels light to the touch, mirroring the design theme as well as complementing the letterpress process.
HERBERT STATIONERY
After initial consultations with this client, we discussed themes and ideas which she gravitated towards: strong images of gardens and trees and asymmetry. I painted this "tulip" image because of its strength and color which complemented her personality. It is printed on Fabriano Mediovalis paper, which comes from the oldest paper mill in Italy.
COX STATIONERY
This client is an artist and wanted stationery which could be used for both business and personal correspondence. She already had an iconic image of a woman holding an arrow that she used as her personal seal, and we incorporated this image along with her signature into the stationery design. Depending on the nature of the correspondence, she can choose either design to fit the intent. The paper is Italian and comes in six colors. This client chose the grass and stone colors and can mix the different paper colors together.
NORTON STATIONERY
This client loves her garden. After taking a walk through her incredible garden and observing all the different plants and flowers growing, I came up with this "bouganvilla" design. I wanted to design something which had a timeless feel yet also had a contemporary edge to it. Her name is printed over the design in a brown ink which matches the lining of the envelopes. This cream paper comes from Germany and is one of the most luxurious papers to ever handle.
SANDERS STATIONERY
In designing my own personal stationery it is evident that I love birds and the color blue. Since I design and print my own stationery, I print in small editions and create a new design when I find that I need a new set of stationery. The blue paper here comes from an American paper mill which is still making mould-made papers. The business card paper comes from Germany and has a deckle to the edge.
